Ford Motor Company and South Korean company SK On are looking for buyers for excess batteries produced at their new joint factory in Kentucky, USA, highlighting a weakening demand for electric vehicles in the United States. The factory officially started production on Tuesday, originally intended to support Ford's own electric vehicle business. While the factory will still initially supply batteries for Ford's F-150 Lightning plug-in pickup truck, the two companies have expanded their strategy, signing more customers to better utilize the current market capacity.
