Listeria outbreak caused by contaminated cheese in France has spread to multiple countries in Europe.
The latest weekly report released by the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control on the 18th stated that listeriosis related to contaminated soft cheese produced by a French company has spread to multiple European countries. As of the 13th, Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Norway have each reported "a case of listeriosis with the same genetic strain". The company involved is recalling all batches of cheese produced before June 23, 2025, and the cause of contamination is still under investigation.
