Due to the rampant drug violence in the southern French department of Gard, the city of Nmes announced on the 18th that it will once again extend the curfew for minors in four districts to protect them from drug-related crime. The city government issued a statement saying that the new curfew will start on August 18th and end on September 1st. During this period, minors under the age of 16 are not allowed to go out unaccompanied from 9 pm to 6 am the next day.
