London Metal Exchange Hong Kong delivery warehouse unveiled to help enhance the status of the Renminbi.

The London Metal Exchange's Hong Kong delivery warehouse was launched today. The Financial Secretary of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Paul Chan Mo-po, said that Hong Kong's inclusion in the London Metal Exchange's delivery network is an important step in building a trading ecosystem for commodities. It is of great significance to serve the country's development strategy and further consolidate and enhance Hong Kong's status as an international financial and shipping center. He pointed out that Hong Kong is an international financial center and a hub for offshore Renminbi business. Establishing LME warehouses here will enable Hong Kong to promote commodities priced and settled in Renminbi, drive market reforms, and enhance the use and influence of Renminbi in international metal trading.
