Since the start of the summer transportation on July 1st, the passenger volume on the Xiamen-Jinmen "small three links" passenger route has been continuously high. From the Gaqi border checkpoint of Xiamen Border Inspection Station, the reporter was informed that on August 17th, the daily number of inbound and outbound passengers reached 7,000, setting a new record for the highest daily number since the resumption of services in 2023. The summer tourism market across the strait continues to heat up, with multiple passenger flows overlapping such as family parent-child trips, study tours, cross-strait baseball games, and cultural folk activities, causing frequent peaks of inbound and outbound passenger flows on the Xiamen "small three links" passenger route. It is understood that from the start of the summer transportation on July 1st to August 17th, the Gaqi border checkpoint has already inspected 1,076 trips of inbound and outbound ships on the Xiamen-Jinmen "small three links" passenger route, with over 230,000 inbound and outbound passengers inspected, representing a year-on-year increase of over 45% and 44%, respectively. The daily average number of passengers inspected during the summer transportation period exceeds 4,200.
