In the first half of the year, the value added of the electronic information manufacturing industry above designated size increased by 11.1% year-on-year, with growth rates 4.7 and 1.6 percentage points higher than the industrial and high-tech manufacturing sectors during the same period respectively. In June, the value added of the electronic information manufacturing industry above designated size increased by 11% year-on-year. In the first half of the year, among the main products, the production of smartphones reached 563 million units, a year-on-year increase of 0.5%; the production of microcomputing equipment reached 166 million units, a year-on-year increase of 5.6%; and the production of integrated circuits reached 239.5 billion pieces, a year-on-year increase of 8.7%. In the first half of the year, the electronic information manufacturing industry above designated size achieved operating income of 8.04 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.4%; and achieved a total profit of 302.4 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.5%.
