In the first half of this year, the operating revenue of Hong Kong's railway service was 11.509 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.3%. Hong Kong Railway believes that the improvement in performance is mainly due to the increase in local railway services, as well as the increase in transit services and high-speed rail passengers; the total number of passengers for all railways and MTR buses in the first half of the year was approximately 960 million, up 0.7% from the same period last year. During the period, the total revenue from commercial activities at all Hong Kong stations decreased by 0.6% year-on-year to 2.621 billion yuan, mainly due to the decrease in advertising and telecommunications revenue; station retail rental income increased by 2.6% year-on-year to 1.834 billion yuan, mainly due to the increase in rental income from duty-free shops; Hong Kong property management business income increased by 9.8% year-on-year to 157 million yuan, and property development profits increased by about 2.2 times year-on-year to about 5.54 billion yuan.
