National Railway Administration: Railway passenger and freight volume steadily increased in July.

Intelligent Finance and Economics APP learned that on August 14th, the National Railway Administration announced that in July 2025, the national railway passenger and freight volumes steadily increased, transportation safety remained stable, effectively meeting the demand for summer passenger travel and goods supply. In terms of passenger transportation, since the start of the summer, there has been a strong demand for student travel, tourism, and visiting relatives, keeping railway passenger traffic at a high level. In July, the national railway completed the transportation of 4.55 billion passengers, an increase of 6.6% year-on-year; completed passenger turnover of 1770.69 billion passenger-kilometers, an increase of 5.7% year-on-year. In the first seven months of this year, the national railway completed the transportation of 26.91 billion passengers, an increase of 6.7% year-on-year; completed passenger turnover of 9766.50 billion passenger-kilometers, an increase of 3.3% year-on-year.
