Supply and demand are under pressure, egg prices are not booming during the peak season.

Yao Wenyi, Secretary-General of the Egg Chicken Branch of the China Animal Husbandry Association, stated that from 2021 to 2024, the egg chicken industry is in a long-term profit cycle, with all parties continuing to increase investment, resulting in a significant increase in egg production capacity and a decrease in prices mainly due to this supply-demand relationship. Liu Ke, Assistant General Manager of Guangfa Futures Research Institute, believes that although egg purchases have increased recently, the inventory of egg-laying chickens remains high, coupled with the impact of cold storage eggs, the market supply of eggs is sufficient, and there is limited room for egg price increases in the peak season.
