Data released by the U.S. Department of the Treasury on August 12 shows that as of the 11th, the total outstanding debt of the U.S. public sector has exceeded 37 trillion U.S. dollars. At the same time, the latest statutory debt ceiling in the United States is 41.1 trillion U.S. dollars, and the total public debt subject to this debt ceiling constraint is 36.89 trillion U.S. dollars.
