Two departments urgently allocated 170 million yuan to support seven provinces, including Jiangsu and Chongqing, in carrying out emergency rescue and disaster relief work.

On August 12, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Emergency Management urgently allocated 170 million yuan of central natural disaster relief funds to support Jiangsu, Anhui, Hubei, Chongqing, Sichuan, Guizhou, and Gansu in carrying out emergency rescue and assistance work for disaster-stricken people. The focus is on search and rescue, relocation and resettlement of disaster-affected people, emergency disposal of dangers, secondary disaster hazard investigation and emergency treatment, and repairs of damaged houses, in order to minimize disaster losses and casualties and effectively ensure the safety of people's lives and property.
