Zhi Jie rushes into the Hongmeng's first MPV, and the original Chery Star Era E08 development has been stopped.

According to multiple independent sources, 21cAro.oneAuto has learned that Chery is developing an MPV. The new car is based on the E0X-L platform, codenamed "EHV", and will offer two power options: pure electric and range extender. The batteries will be supplied by CATL, and it is expected to be launched in the first half of next year. Chery's first luxury MPV product was originally the Star Era E08, which made its debut at the Beijing Auto Show last April and was expected to go into mass production and delivery this year. However, a source close to Chery revealed to 21cAro.oneAuto that "the Star Era E08 project has now been discontinued, with some employees of the Star Era E08 project team transferring to Zhijie, thus strengthening Zhijie's research and development capabilities for MPVs." This means that Chery has handed over the opportunity to launch a luxury MPV to Zhijie, rather than the Star Era.
