Mayor Ma Jun of Bengbu City, Anhui Province, is set to be appointed as the Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee of a province-administered city.

On July 31, the Organization Department of the Anhui Provincial Party Committee issued a notice on the public announcement of the candidates for cadres before their appointment. Among them, Ma Jun, currently the Deputy Secretary of the Bengbu Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, is proposed to be appointed as the Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee of the provincial municipality.
