Netizens spread "Zhoukou public institutions recruit candidates for food poisoning" Preliminary investigation: no candidates reported feeling unwell.
Recently, there have been rumors on the internet about "candidates in Zhoukou, Henan, being poisoned after eating bean curd box lunches" and "candidates suffering from diarrhea for a day and a night."
Today, the Zhoukou Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau issued a notice, stating that they are conducting a joint investigation with the Municipal Market Supervision Bureau and the Municipal Health Commission. The preliminary investigation results are as follows:
On the morning of July 26, at 11:00 am, the Shangshui County Market Supervision Bureau conducted tests on the lunch at the canteen of the involved supplier, Shangshui County Huichuanghongyi Elderly Development Co., Ltd. The test results met national food safety requirements, and the supplier had all the necessary qualifications, and the meal ordering process met safety standards. At 11:30 am, the lunch was delivered to the Zhoukou Third Experimental School examination center, where candidates and examiners had lunch together at 12:00. By 6:30 pm on July 26, all candidates had left the center, and there were no reports of discomfort from any candidates, and the medical support team did not receive any requests for help.
Regarding the online rumors of multiple candidates "seeking medical treatment for poisoning," the health department found no records of food poisoning cases among the 793 candidates and 386 examiners at the Zhoukou Third Experimental School test center. The investigation team randomly interviewed 5 candidates and examiners from each room at this center, and none reported any physical discomfort after eating during the exam.
