Myanmar declares formation of a new federal government, with U Ne Win Soe as the Prime Minister.

On July 31, the Burmese Broadcasting Corporation reported that the Myanmar National Defense and Security Council announced the formation of a new federal government and National Security and Peace Council. In the newly formed government, the position of Prime Minister will be held by Wu Nu Soe, and the Commander-in-Chief of the Defense Forces Min Aung Hlaing will no longer hold the position of Prime Minister.
