Hong Kong stocks surged | Chip stocks rose in the afternoon with both SMIC (00981.HK) and Hua Hong Semiconductor (01347.HK) gaining more than 5% at one point

According to the Zhitong Finance app, chip stocks rose in the afternoon. As of the time of publication, SMIC International (00981.HK) rose 3.39% to 51.9 Hong Kong dollars; Hua Hong Semiconductor (01347) rose 2.13% to 40.85 Hong Kong dollars; and JM Semiconductor (02878) rose 1.1% to 0.46 Hong Kong dollars.
