Today, Zhang Xing, Deputy Director of Comprehensive Department of the National Energy Administration, stated that in order to better address the issues concerning holiday travel that everyone is concerned about, the National Energy Administration is currently working with relevant departments to formulate policy documents for the construction and renovation of high-power charging facilities. They encourage local governments and enterprises to focus on scenarios such as highway service areas for instant charging and driving, and to flexibly layout high-power charging facilities according to local conditions. In the next step, they will strengthen overall planning and policy-making, continuously improve the charging network, enhance facility service capabilities, vigorously promote pilot demonstrations, further establish a high-quality charging infrastructure service system, and better meet the needs of the people in purchasing and using new energy vehicles.
