Improve the system of support policies for childbearing, Beijing Municipality issues 15 measures.

Today, the General Office of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality issued a notice on the implementation of the "Measures for Improving the Policy System of Support for Childbirth and Promoting the Construction of a Childbirth-Friendly Society in Beijing." The establishment of a maternity subsidy system is proposed. In line with the actual economic and social development of the city, a maternity subsidy system will be established and implemented. Policies such as childcare for children under 3 years old and additional deductions for personal income tax for child education will be implemented effectively. Enhancing the function of maternity insurance protection is also emphasized. The maternity insurance system will be further improved to strengthen the role of maternity support protection. The reimbursement standard for prenatal examination fees for maternity insurance will be increased, and real-time settlement of medical insurance will be achieved. The coverage of maternity insurance will be expanded, and efforts will be made to allow those who receive unemployment benefits in the city to participate in maternity insurance. Research will be conducted to improve the measures for providing maternity medical expenses for flexible employees participating in the city's basic medical insurance for employees and for unemployed individuals participating in the city's basic medical insurance for urban and rural residents.
