Beijing: Improving the maternity leave system

Notice from the General Office of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality on Printing and Issuing the "Work Measures on Improving the Maternity Support Policy System and Promoting the Construction of a Maternity-Friendly Society in Beijing." Improve the maternity leave system. Implement the maternity leave and childbirth leave stipulated in the "Special Regulations on Labor Protection for Female Workers" and the "Beijing Population and Family Planning Regulations." Establish a reasonable cost-sharing mechanism to support and guide employers in implementing maternity leave policies. Strengthen supervision and guidance on employers, enhance dispute negotiation and mediation, and include the implementation of maternity leave, childbirth leave, paternity leave, and childcare leave by employers in the scope of labor supervision in each district.
