U.S. stock market anomaly | New energy vehicle stocks are falling, Tesla (TSLA.US) drops more than 1%
According to the Securities Times APP, on Wednesday, stocks of new energy vehicles fell. As of the time of publication, NIO (NIO.US) dropped more than 3%, XPeng Motors (XPEV.US) dropped more than 2%, Li Auto (LI.US) dropped more than 3.5%, and Tesla (TSLA.US) dropped more than 1%. On the news side, Tesla has signed a $4.3 billion agreement with LG Energy Solution to purchase lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries from the latter. This is the second deal the electric vehicle manufacturer has reached in South Korea this month. Sources familiar with the matter said that these batteries will be produced at LG Energy Solution's US factory, but will not be used in cars. The source stated that the final use will be in energy storage systems.
