The national teleconference on the prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic in Kenya was held in Beijing.

The meeting emphasized the need to thoroughly implement the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on epidemic prevention and control, as well as the decision-making and deployment of the Party Central Committee and the State Council. It is necessary to strengthen the "four-party" responsibilities, enhance the risk assessment of the COVID-19 epidemic in Kenya, take decisive prevention and control measures, effectively coordinate development and security, and resolutely safeguard the overall stability of people's health and the economy and society. It is important to strengthen regional linkage and departmental coordination, carry out multi-channel monitoring and early warning, prevent the overflow and spread of the epidemic, as well as importation from abroad. It is necessary to carry out the patriotic health movement, strengthen environmental sanitation and kill risk points, and scientifically and effectively eliminate mosquitoes and prevent mosquito bites. It is important to strengthen quality control of inspection and testing in medical and health institutions, improve the ability to "detect early", standardize the treatment of cases, and fully prevent severe cases and deaths. It is necessary to strengthen health education, standardize the release of epidemic information, scientifically guide personal protection, and enhance public confidence. The meeting also made arrangements for recent flood prevention and disaster relief work.
