As of this week, 35 medical health industry companies have submitted applications for listing, including 16 biotechnology companies that have submitted applications under Chapter 18A. In May of this year, the Hong Kong Stock Exchange launched the "Science and Technology Board", further facilitating the listing of biotechnology companies and specialized technology companies, and allowing these companies to choose to submit listing applications in a confidential manner. The Hang Seng Biotechnology Index in Hong Kong has risen by 97% since the beginning of the year.
