The Shanghai Flood Control Command Office and the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau jointly issued a warning about the risk of urban waterlogging on July 30th at 12:00. It is expected that Shanghai will experience over 100mm of rainfall in a 6 hour period within the next 24 hours. Central urban areas, Pudong New Area, Minhang, Songjiang, and Qingpu districts may experience general waterlogging of around 15-30cm, with some areas possibly experiencing mild waterlogging of over 30cm. Residents are advised to take precautions, closely monitor rainfall forecasts and warnings, avoid areas with water accumulation when going out, and avoid walking through underpasses or other areas prone to flooding. In case of danger, take immediate self-rescue measures and seek emergency assistance to ensure personal safety.
