A reporter asked: Recently, mainland China's North China and other regions have been experiencing heavy rainfall, do you have information on the situation of Taiwanese compatriots affected in these areas? Spokesperson Chen Binhua said that recently, Eastern China, North China, Northeast China and other regions have been experiencing heavy rainfall, leading to flooding and geological disasters, causing significant casualties and property damage in Beijing, Hebei, Jilin, Shandong, and other places. Relevant departments and local authorities are working at full capacity to carry out disaster relief efforts, making every effort to minimize casualties and ensure the safety of people's lives and property. Currently, disaster relief work is being carried out intensively, and the affected residents are being properly relocated. It is understood that there are currently no Taiwanese compatriots affected by the disaster. The Taiwan Affairs Offices in the relevant regions will promptly inquire about the situation of Taiwanese compatriots and Taiwanese companies in the area affected by the disaster, and provide assistance in a timely manner.
