Mexico initiates anti-dumping sunset review investigation on US epoxidized soybean oil

According to the China Trade Remedies Information website, on July 29th, the Mexican Ministry of Economy issued a announcement stating that, in response to applications from Mexican producers, a fourth sunset review investigation on anti-dumping measures against epoxy soybean oil originating from the United States has been initiated. The dumping investigation period is from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025, and the injury investigation period is from July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2025. The Mexican tariff number for the products involved is 1518.00.02. During the investigation period, the current anti-dumping duties remain in effect. The announcement will take effect the day after its publication. On May 17, 2004, Mexico initiated an anti-dumping investigation on epoxy soybean oil originating from the United States. On July 29, 2005, Mexico made an affirmative final ruling on the case and officially imposed a 62.45% anti-dumping duty on the products involved. Since then, Mexico has conducted three sunset reviews and issued affirmative rulings on January 9, 2012, August 5, 2016, and July 27, 2021, respectively, extending the imposition of duties.
