On July 30, Liu Jia, Deputy Director of the Foreigners Management Division of the National Immigration Administration, introduced at the press conference on "High-Quality Completion of the 'Fourteenth Five-Year Plan" held by the State Council Information Office that currently, visa-free entry has become the main channel for foreign nationals to travel and engage in trade in China, driving a continuous increase in inbound tourism. According to data from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, in 2024, China received 26.94 million foreign tourists, a year-on-year increase of 96%.
