The meeting believed that the purpose of salt industry system reform is to introduce a competitive mechanism in the salt field to unleash market vitality, achieve effective allocation of salt industry resources, and promote healthy and sustainable industry development while ensuring the safety and quality of salt supply. The current "internal competition" does not meet the requirements of salt industry reform. Industry-leading companies should play a leading role in resisting "internal competition" and maintaining market order, together building a positive competitive environment and innovating industry value through optimizing production capacity layout, promoting product innovation, improving channel construction, and establishing long-term communication mechanisms. The meeting decided that the 8 companies jointly issue the "Abandon Internal Competition, Collaborate for Win-Win" joint action declaration, joining hands against "internal competition" and striving to create a good atmosphere for the high-quality development of the industry. Additionally, the meeting also discussed topics such as eliminating backward production capacity, accelerating industry enterprise joint reorganization, promoting low-carbon green industry development, and enhancing food safety quality standards for salt.
