According to the Tianyancha App, on July 29th, the patent for "Fixed-wing unfolding and folding mechanism for flying cars and flying cars" applied by Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. was published. The abstract shows that the fixed-wing unfolding and folding mechanism includes a wing body panel, two fixed wings, and two sets of unfolding and folding components. Each fixed wing is connected to the wing body panel through unfolding and folding components. The two fixed wings are symmetrically distributed about the YOZ plane, and the two sets of unfolding and folding components are also symmetrically distributed about the YOZ plane. The unfolding and folding components are used to switch the fixed wings between the unfolded and folded states. In the unfolded state, the plane in which the fixed wings are located is perpendicular to the second direction, and in the folded state, the plane in which the fixed wings are located is perpendicular to the first direction, with the second direction parallel to the thickness direction of the wing body panel and perpendicular to the first direction. With this setup, it is possible to fold the fixed wings, reduce the space occupied by the fixed wings, and allow the flying car to travel on conventional roads and park in standard parking spaces.
