China Automobile Dealers Association: In June, China imported 41,000 passenger cars, a decrease of 30.3% year-on-year.

According to the Zhitong Financial APP, the China Automobile Circulation Association recently released the June 2025 monthly report on the Chinese imported automobile market. The data shows that in June, 41,000 imported passenger cars (including chassis) were imported, a year-on-year decrease of 30.3% and a month-on-month decrease of 9.1%. Due to the increasing competitiveness of domestically-produced new energy vehicles and the acceleration of import car localization, import car manufacturers expect a weakening trend, and the import car market continues to be in a downturn. From January to June, a total of 221,000 imported passenger cars were imported, a year-on-year decrease of 32.1%, continuing the negative growth trend since 2022.
