China Insurance Research Institute's safety test results have shown red lights for the first time, with two cars receiving negative reviews.
On July 29th, the China Insurance Automobile Safety Index released the third round of evaluations for 2024. Among them, the Dongfeng Joyear 9 and Mazda EZ-6 received a "poor" score in terms of crash resistance and maintenance cost index, while the Tesla Model 3 and Dongfeng Nissan N7, two popular models, also only received a "fair" score in this evaluation item. This is the first time in the C-IASI 2024 evaluation that tested models have received a negative review. This round of "C-IASI" results involved a total of 9 models, including the Dongfeng Joyear 9, Tesla Model 3, Volkswagen Magotan, Mazda EZ-6, Volkswagen Passat Pro, Leado L60, Dongfeng Nissan Tantu, Firefly, and Dongfeng Nissan N7. In the previous two rounds of evaluations, 13 models were tested.
