CDC issued a detailed explanation of Kyasanur Forest disease: it does not spread through daily contact to trigger interpersonal transmission.
On July 29th, the official WeChat account of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) published an article detailing 11 key questions related to Chikungunya fever, including its mode of transmission, clinical symptoms, and treatment methods. The CDC emphasized that the core transmission mode of Chikungunya fever is the "human-mosquito-human" chain of transmission. During the first week of illness, patients have a high level of viremia and are at a high risk of transmission through mosquito bites. However, the virus does not spread through everyday contact or through coughing or sneezing. Currently, there are no specific drugs for treating Chikungunya fever, and clinical treatment mainly consists of supportive care.
