Ministry of Industry and Information Technology: Deepening the application of digital technology empowerment, promoting the deep integration of informatization and industrialization.

On July 28, a symposium of leaders in charge of the national industrial and information departments was held in Beijing. The meeting emphasized the importance of doing a good job in the second half of the year, earnestly implementing the decision-making arrangements of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, focusing on "strengthening the foundation, creating value, ensuring safety, and industry governance." It called for deepening the application of digital technology empowerment, promoting the deep integration of information technology and industrialization, formulating implementation opinions on empowering new industrialization with data elements, and accelerating the transformation of industrial digitalization. It also called for the improvement of policies for the high-quality development of basic software and industrial software, the improvement of the Chinese open source system, and the establishment of a national-level artificial intelligence open source community. It called for promoting the pilot projects of new technology transformation in the manufacturing industry in cities and the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises in 100 cities. It also called for deepening the application of industrial Internet in a classified and hierarchical manner, and cultivating a group of industrial intelligent entities to promote the "artificial intelligence + manufacturing" action to go deeper and strengthen the base research and application of key scenarios.
