Temperatures in many parts of Iraq have soared, with the highest temperature in over two-thirds of the country exceeding 50 degrees Celsius.
According to the Iraqi Meteorological Department, on July 28th local time, the highest temperature in 13 out of 18 provinces in Iraq exceeded 50 degrees Celsius. Due to the ongoing high temperatures, several provinces in Iraq have announced the suspension of government office operations or shortened working hours. It is reported that this heatwave is expected to continue, and the Meteorological Department advises the public to avoid going out during high temperature periods and to take necessary measures to prevent heatstroke and stay cool.
