Zhejiang province initiates level IV emergency response to typhoon defense.
Typhoon "Zhu Jie Cao", the eighth of this year, redeveloped into a typhoon on the night of July 27th. At 8:00 on the 28th, its center was located on the sea surface about 700 kilometers to the east-southeast of Zhoushan City, with maximum wind force of level 8. It is expected to move in a west-northwesterly direction at a speed of 15-20 kilometers per hour, approaching the eastern waters of the East China Sea and getting closer to the coastal areas of Zhejiang province. The intensity is gradually increasing, with the strongest reaching severe tropical storm level. Due to the influence of "Zhu Jie Cao", there will be heavy rainfall in the coastal and northern areas of Zhejiang province in the next three days, with the heaviest rainfall expected from tonight to the day after tomorrow. The provincial meteorological observatory has issued a typhoon alert. According to the Zhejiang Province Flood Control, Typhoon Prevention, and Drought Resistance Emergency Plan, after consultation and assessment, the Provincial Defense Command has decided to activate a level IV emergency response for typhoon prevention at 12:00 on July 28th.
