Hong Kong stock market at noon: Hang Seng Index rose by 0.40%, while the Technology Index fell by 0.59%.

As of the midday close, the Hang Seng Index rose 0.40% to 25490.45 points, while the Nasdaq fell 0.59% to 5644.52 points. The turnover of the Hang Seng Index reached 1497.25 billion Hong Kong dollars. On the market, Chinese securities firms, insurance and other large financial sectors, innovative pharmaceutical concepts and other sectors were among the top gainers, while coal, non-ferrous metals and other sectors were among the top losers. In terms of individual stocks, China Tobacco Hong Kong rose 13.78% as the company reached a consensus with China Tobacco International to maintain its operating position in the tax-free cigarette business in China; Ping An of China rose 3.21%; Hengrui Medicine rose 15.43%; and China Shenhua fell 1.85%.
