Ministry of Ecology and Environment: In June, the average concentration of PM2.5 in 339 prefecture-level and above cities in the country decreased by 4.7% year-on-year.

According to the Ministry of Ecology and Environment on July 28th, the Ministry released the national environmental air quality status for June 2025 and for January to June. In June, the average concentration of PM2.5 in 339 cities at the prefecture level and above in the country was 16.3 micrograms per cubic meter, a year-on-year decrease of 4.7%; the average concentration of PM10 was 33 micrograms per cubic meter, a year-on-year decrease of 5.7%; the average concentration of O3 was 153 micrograms per cubic meter, a year-on-year increase of 0.7%; the average concentration of SO2 was 7 micrograms per cubic meter, the same as last year; the average concentration of NO2 was 13 micrograms per cubic meter, a year-on-year decrease of 7.1%; the average concentration of CO was 0.7 milligrams per cubic meter, the same as last year.
