At 16:35 on July 27th, Pinggu District upgraded and issued a red alert for heavy rain. Up to now, Huairou District, Yanqing District, and Miyun District are still under a red alert for heavy rain. At the same time, Fangshan District, Chaoyang District, Changping District, Tongzhou District, Daxing District, Shunyi District, and Mentougou District have upgraded to issue orange alerts for heavy rain. According to statistics from the meteorological department, from 6:00 to 16:00 on the 27th, the average rainfall in Beijing was 8.7 millimeters, 6.6 millimeters in urban areas, 15.1 millimeters in the northeast, 9.3 millimeters in the southeast, 8.4 millimeters in the northwest, and 0.9 millimeters in the southwest; the largest rainfall in the urban area was in Chaoyang Picun, reaching 61 millimeters; the largest rainfall in Beijing was in Miyun Baguzhuang, at 63.2 millimeters; the highest hourly rainfall intensity occurred in Pinggu Wanjiazhuang, at 54.3 millimeters per hour.
