Chinese brand automobile overseas exhibition opens in Chile.

The second China Brand Automobile Overseas Exhibition opened on the 25th at the Santiago Los Cicos Convention Center in the Chilean capital. More than ten Chinese brands including Chery, Foton, XCMG, and Sailoors showcased fuel vehicles, new energy vehicles, and other products at the exhibition. Jorge Daza, Chile's Deputy Minister of Transport and Telecommunications, said in an interview at the event that China is an important strategic partner for Chile in the field of green transportation. It is expected that by early 2026, approximately 4,400 Chinese-made electric buses will be in operation in the Greater Santiago Region. Additionally, more than 40% of the newly certified electric vehicle models in Chile from January 2024 to May 2025 are from China.
