On July 26, Tang Wenkan, Deputy Director of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, stated at the important thematic event of the 2025 World Artificial Intelligence Conference, "Digital Leading, Intelligence Driving the Future" AI Empowers Autonomous Driving Innovation Forum, that by 2024, the output value of Shanghai's automobile industry will reach 703.5 billion yuan. The cumulative promotion of new energy vehicles will reach 1.645 million, ranking first among global cities. To accelerate the construction of a high-level autonomous driving leading area, Shanghai will promote the operation of 500 data collection network cars, with an estimated data collection of over 10 million clips within the year, and establish an autonomous driving large-scale model evaluation system to achieve mass production application of end-to-end intelligent driving models.
