Shanxi issues warning for heavy rain, flash floods, and geological disasters.

On July 25, Shanxi Province issued a blue alert for heavy rain. The warning areas include parts of Xinzhou City, the western part of Shuozhou City, the northern part of Datong City, and the northwest part of Lvliang City. It is expected that the rainfall in the warning areas will exceed 50 millimeters in the next 24 hours, or there will be short-term heavy rainfall with a maximum intensity of over 30 millimeters per hour, accompanied by local thunderstorm winds. The Shanxi Provincial Department of Water Resources and the Shanxi Provincial Meteorological Bureau jointly issued a meteorological risk warning for flash floods. It is predicted that from 8:00 pm on July 25 to 8:00 pm on July 26, due to heavy rainfall, there is a high possibility of flash floods occurring in the central-western and northeastern parts of Datong, Shuozhou, Xinzhou, and the northern part of Lvliang, with the possibility of other areas also being affected by flash floods caused by short-term heavy rainfall. The Shanxi Provincial Department of Natural Resources and the Shanxi Provincial Meteorological Bureau jointly issued a geological disaster meteorological risk warning. It is predicted that from 8:00 pm on July 25 to 8:00 pm on July 26, there is a high risk of geological disasters due to rainfall.
