The GDP of Yantai in the first half of the year increased by 6.4% year-on-year.

On July 25th, the Yantai Municipal Government Information Office held a press conference on the economic and social development in the first half of the year. According to the unified calculation of the Gross Domestic Product at the city level, the total GDP of the city in the first half of the year was 537.511 billion yuan, with a year-on-year growth of 6.4% at constant prices, ranking first in the province in terms of growth rate. The value added of the primary industry was 17.119 billion yuan, an increase of 4%; the value added of the secondary industry was 234.467 billion yuan, an increase of 8.9%; and the value added of the tertiary industry was 285.925 billion yuan, an increase of 4.5%. In the first half of the year, the value added of industrial enterprises above a designated size grew by 13.4%, ranking first in the province, accelerating by 4.4 percentage points compared to the full year of 2024. In the first half of the year, the total foreign trade volume reached 253.46 billion yuan, an increase of 16.1%, hitting a new high in history for the same period, with exports growing by 6.1% and imports growing by 31.5%.
