Comcast Digital Media Assets to Split Soon, New Company Board Members Revealed

Comcast announced the list of the first board members of VERSANT Media Group on July 24. David Novak, a long-time board member of Comcast and former CEO of Yum Brands, will serve as chairman. The board members also include Mark Lazarus, who will serve as CEO of VERSANT, Michael Conway, former CEO of Starbucks North America, and Rebecca Campbell, former executive at Disney. VERSANT will become an independent publicly traded media company, with media brands including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, and digital assets such as Rotten Tomatoes.
