Maduro said that the American company Chevron has been allowed to continue operating in Venezuela.
On the 24th local time, Venezuelan President Maduro publicly confirmed that Chevron has been allowed to continue operating in Venezuela. Maduro stated, "As we have always conveyed to all international companies - Venezuela welcomes foreign companies to come and invest in our country." He said, "Despite the sanctions and pressure we have faced in recent months, our oil industry has still achieved a growth of 12%. These achievements do not rely on any licenses." Maduro stated that a working group is ready to assist Chevron in resuming operations in compliance with the law. It is understood that Chevron is currently the last remaining oil company maintained by the United States in Venezuela.
