In the second quarter, the shipment volume of the intelligent mobile phone market in China reached 68.96 million units. Manufacturers are aiming for the path of "differentiation + high-end" to break through.
Recently, several statistics agencies have released the "report cards" for the Chinese smartphone market in the second quarter. According to preliminary data released by Counterpoint Research on July 24th, smartphone shipments in China decreased by 2.4% year-on-year in the second quarter. According to the latest quarterly tracking report from an international data company, smartphone shipments in the Chinese market in the second quarter were 68.96 million units, a decrease of 4.0% year-on-year. "It is expected that the smartphone market will continue to be under pressure in the third and fourth quarters. However, with the restart of the replacement cycle, the emergence of AI-driven high-end trends, accelerated promotional rhythms, and peak sales seasons, the market is expected to warm up. At the same time, the Chinese mobile phone industry chain has strong resilience and collaborative innovation capabilities are also increasing. Mobile phone companies need to increase their innovation efforts to stimulate market demand, differentiate themselves in AI smartphones, and competition and technological innovation in mid-to-high-end models are keys to breakthrough," said Zhang Xiaorong, director of the DeepTech Research Institute, to reporters.
