Tesla plans to start constructing its third energy storage super factory in the United States in 2026.
On July 23rd, local time, Tesla revealed during its second quarter earnings call that its first lithium iron phosphate battery factory in the United States is expected to come online before the end of the year. In addition, Tesla plans to start construction of its third energy storage super factory near Houston, Texas in 2026. On the same day, Tesla released its latest financial report, showing that its revenue in the second quarter was $22.5 billion, a 12% decrease compared to the same period last year, estimated at $22.64 billion; net profit was $1.172 billion, a 16% decrease compared to last year, with market expectations at $1.136 billion. Adjusted earnings per share in the second quarter were $0.40, down from $0.52 in the same period last year, with an estimated $0.42.
