Six university students from Northeastern University tragically drowned at a mining plant, Funeral home: rumors of bodies being damaged are untrue.

On July 23 at around 10:20, six students from Northeastern University were visiting and learning about the flotation process at the Wunugetu Mountain Copper-Molybdenum Ore Dressing Plant of China Gold Inner Mongolia Mining Co., Ltd. During the visit, a grid plate fell off and into the flotation tank. Despite all rescue efforts, all six individuals were rescued but were confirmed to have drowned by medical personnel. Another teacher was injured. A funeral home in Manzhouli City stated that the bodies were received on the afternoon of July 23 and condolences cannot be offered yet. The bodies are the same as usual, not likely to be damaged as rumored online. They will be cleaned thoroughly.
