The latest "June Residential Product Monthly Report" released by the Index Research Institute shows that the demand for improved new home market is steadily increasing. Compared with the same period in 2024, in the first half of 2025, in 30 representative cities, more than 70% of cities saw an increase in the proportion of transactions for homes larger than 120 square meters, indicating a steady release of improved demand. Looking at different size categories, in 20 cities, the proportion of transactions for homes ranging from 120 to 144 square meters has increased, with cities such as Shanghai, Qingdao, and Changsha seeing an increase of over 4 percentage points. In 21 cities, the proportion of transactions for homes larger than 144 square meters has also increased.
