The White House releases a vision for artificial intelligence policy.
The Trump administration has issued new guidelines, calling for relaxed regulations, expanded energy supply for data centers, to promote the development of artificial intelligence in the United States, while also urging to stop funding states that impose excessive regulations on emerging technologies. "Achieving and maintaining undisputed, unchallenged global technological dominance is a top priority for U.S. national security," said U.S. President Donald Trump in this report. "In order to secure our future, we must fully leverage the power of American innovation." Trump plans to sign several executive orders on Wednesday to launch the components of his AI plan. Expected to be signed orders include a plan supported by the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation and the U.S. Export-Import Bank to support the global deployment of U.S. technology. Another order will require all large language models purchased by the federal government to be neutral and unbiased.
