Wenyuan Zhihang launches Saudi Arabia's first Robotaxi trial operation service.

On July 23, WeRide officially launched Saudi Arabia's first Robotaxi trial operation service in the capital city of Riyadh, making it the only Robotaxi trial operation service currently available in Saudi Arabia. This trial operation service will be conducted on public roads under the supervision of the Saudi Transport General Authority (TGA), covering the King Khalid International Airport and various core locations in Riyadh, including major highways and selected downtown areas. The Robotaxi used for the trial operation is provided by WeRide and will be operated through the Uber platform, with dozens of vehicles being initially deployed. WeRide is expected to provide full-scale commercial Robotaxi services in Riyadh by the end of 2025.
