On July 23, it was reported that Pop Mart is suing convenience store chain brand 7-Eleven in the United States for selling counterfeit versions of LABUBU dolls. Pop Mart has confirmed this information to Interface News. Interface News had previously reported that some American girls posted short videos on social media claiming they had bought counterfeit "LAFUFU" goods at 7-Eleven convenience stores in the United States. The video shows rows of counterfeit LABUBU dolls on the shelves, each priced at $25 - almost the same as the original price. However, both the packaging and the dolls themselves are poorly made.
